Manual Handling
This course offers the participant a general awareness of the legal requirements of the regulations, combined with practical experience for carrying out a manual handling assessment, the nature and types of injuries that can occur through poor lifting and carrying techniques and the correct approach to preventing musculoskeletal injuries and Work-related upper limb disorder.

COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations)
Participants will gain an insight into the type of chemical hazards that exist in the work place and how the application of this regulation can minimise the risk from exposure to substances harmful to the health of persons at work. This workshop offers a practical approach to explaining the fundamental and practical requirements of COSHH, practical control measures, material safety data sheets, through to occupational health monitoring.

PC users and Employers will benefit from this course. The course is structured to identify the legislative requirements of the regulation, and a practical approach to carrying out workstation assessments. Participants will learn about the consequences of inadequate workstations in terms of consequences the mental and physical well-being of users.
