Hello and welcome to the August edition of the monthly health and safety newsletter.
In case you have missed it we have had a completely new makeover in terms of our web site, business cards, and company Brochures—new logo after 17 years as shown on the header above.
If you have not seen all the new stuff just visit the web site www.compasshsc.co.uk and check it all out– and a massive thanks and shout out to Marshmallow marketing – Liam and Reece who have done a fantastic job, and the feedback we have had from many of our Clients is thumbs up.
August has been a very busy month with one thing and another. We have picked up 3 new Clients!
Hayvern Electrical based at Farnworth near Bolton who is heavily involved with a very large contract over the next few years at the Alderley Edge Business Park in Macclesfield. We are acting as their health and safety advisor over the next 12 months.
GSL Coatings – based on Mold in Wales– We are working with them on a project to spray a water resistant coating over an existing Asbestos cement roof at the Storage King building at the Liverpool Docks entrance in Bootle– and as you would expect this is quite a challenging job from a health and safety point of view as we have 2 hazards to be managed—working at height, and of course fragile asbestos cement material– further increasing the risk of falling.
GLS provides specialist costing systems against corrosion and tend to focus on the rail sector.
Networx3 – Based in Great Harwood– Blackburn They have taken us on to be their Health and safety advisor for a period of 12 months– they specials in the in-stallation of fibre optic communication cables and systems doing a lot of work in prisons and Government facilities.
In addition to the above:-
We have just completed the 3rd IOSH Managing Safely course for Atlas (BFW) Management– a subsidiary to the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust . 4 Managers successfully completed the course with great feedback so well done to them.
Fire risk assessment – To domestic dwellings forming apartments at the Springvale Apartments Edgeworth near Bolton– including a 2 storey and 3 storey block—communal and circulation areas only.
